    • pressure 32 (R) , 44 (L)
    • 0.7 c/d (R) , 0.85 (L),
      (c/d= cup to disc ratio, explained in photos on this page, normal is 0.3)
    • significant field defect left eye
    • open angle on gonioscopy
    • diagnosed as chronic POAG (primary open angle glaucoma)
    • prescribed g Teoptic 1% bd (R) & (L)
    • did not achieve low pressure
    • g xalatan od added
  • 2002, 0.7 c/d (R) , 0.85 (L), unchanged
    • pressure 12 both eyes
    • target pressure 10-12
    • fields and discs on main page
    • healthy lifestyle and low blood pressure & diet needed...see case 1
    • asymmetric glaucoma is common
  • future: little change expected,as target pressure has been reached
