The Library has seating for 40 people comprising:
- Quiet room - 13 study carrels,
- IT suite - 9 PC workstations
- Study tables to seat 14
- 4 easy chairs.

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm. Out of hours access is available
with a photo/ID card.
all students must complete a registration card. Books and videos
- up to 2 books and 2 videos may be borrowed for one week.
MEDLINE and Cochrane Library are available on CD-Rom. Three computers
are available in the Quiet Room on a 24 hour basis. Please contact
the Librarian if you require a tutorial on using MEDLINE or the
Cochrane Library.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week the excellent Library
Web site can be accessed from anywhere.
9 PCs are available in the IT suite, this facility is only available
8.30am - 5pm. Internet access is also available on 3 computers in
the Quiet Room out of hours. You will need to apply for a password
to access the computers out of hours. Please complete the Access
Request Form and hand this to the Undergraduate Co-ordinator.
Prepaid cards must be purchased to use the self-service photocopier.
Any photocopying must be within the limits of the Copyright, Designs
and Patents Act 1988 details of which are to be found alongside
the photocopier in the library. NB Please note that the Trust does
not have a licence from the Copyright Licensing Agency, unlike most
Universities.
Lockers are available in the Education Centre Annexe (1st floor)
for your use. You are required to provide a padlock.
Lunch may be purchased in the Rectory Restaurant off the main hospital
street. Alternatively Strollers Bar and WRVS shops provide sandwiches,
snacks etc.
The clinical skills rooms are located in the Education Centre. All
bookings for the room must be made through the Clinical Skills Facilitator
Naomi Edwards (Ext 1359). These rooms can be booked for groups by
the students wanting to practice a range of clinical skills from
pelvic examinations to suturing. Supervision is required at all
times.
