Referral will be accepted from optometrists finding wet ARMD, that is ARMD with fluid and haemorrhage. Opometrists should use the special wet ARMD form.

Patients must bring a list of all their drugs and their spectacles.

• list all drugs

• advice about lifestyle and achieving target blood pressure and stopping smoking

• visual acuity measured with distance correction

• pupils dilated with tropicamide 1% and phenylephrine 2.5%

• OCT scan

• FFA (fundus fluorescein angiography)

• brief examination with doctor

• no wet ARMD or not eligible..discharged

• all patients... Low Vision Clinic referral if needed

• details of Macular Misease Society

• dry: patients discharged

• wet...dates given for Lucentis, paperwork given

• partial sight registration for those eligible
